So it started to rain the other day, while I was walking home, here in Culver City…..
The last Solar Eclipse in Los Angeles until 2071.
for those having trouble understanding what they’re looking at: The bright object with a crescent shape is actually the sun, with the moon lined up in front of it. Though you can’t make out the moon’s surface itself (because there’s no sunlight being cast onto its face directly), you can see its form as it, well, ECLIPSES the sun. *gasp*
Couldn’t see for a good few minutes through my left eye, having looked directly at the sun through the lenses of both my glasses AND the viewfinder.
…Though it was rather neat that I could see the eclipse everytime I closed my eyes, having had the image burned into my retinas.
And to think this was 4 years ago…..
